March 2023 at Living Word – There is hope for you? Sometimes we need to go back and look at the beginning to realize how grand the world around us really is. Because of a curse we have to work but no matter how hard we work we cannot save ourselves. The natural world around us points us to the Savior we need. God in His goodness and mercy provided a plan of salvation before time as we know it even existed. God’s Word helps us to understand that we all are separated from God by sin but God provides a way for us to draw near. God of the universe created all things and loves you deeply. He wants a true relationship with you.
March 5 During an earthquake people reach for something stable, human nature is to steady yourself and gain control. God made the world – God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. In the design God provided a plan for salvation because He loves each of us. Genesis 1:1-2:3; Nehemiah 9:6 Romans 6:23; Revelation 4:11. God is the Creator He made the earth and everything on it. God is steady, unchanging and in charge of all things. God created us to glorify and honor Him, do you find your place of rest in Him? Psalm 121
March 12 God made the sun, moon, and stars – Genesis 1:4-5, 14-19; 2:4-24; 3 Nehemiah 9:6. Romans 3:23; 6:23. God made the day and night. Like the day is different from the night sin separates us from the One True God. Rebellion is a strong force of human nature. With sin we choose our way and disobey God. Separation from God is the worst punishment you can give yourself. Genesis 3:21 shows the first-time blood had to be shed to cover mankind. God’s GRACE takes away the separation when you seek the LIGHT and choose the path.
March 19 Did you ask what the wages would be before you started your job? Genesis 1:20-25; Nehemiah 9:6 God made the earth and everything on it. God made the animals. God gave people dominion over animals but people allow sin to take control. Why are people surprised when sin brings confusion, embarrassment, guilt, loneliness, separation, and shame. God provides guidelines letting everyone know that He is Holy and there is punishment for sin. Exodus 19-20; 31:8; Romans 6:23. God provided the Law to show us the need for a Savior. The wages of sin are death and it has to be paid.
March 26 God made people – God made people different from the other things that He made. Genesis 1:26-2:24. Nehemiah 9:6 God made the earth and everything on it. God made people to care for the world. God provided a plan for salvation for us. Isaiah 53; Romans 6:23. Each of us are given the chance to choose Jesus as our Savior.
What voices do you hear in your own head? What does your eyes see? God uses many things in the world around you to remind you of your true purpose in life. Prophets told people of God’s plan and the devil still led people astray. We cannot save ourselves, we need Jesus. Jesus came to earth. He knew what sickness was. We knew what hardships and heartaches were. He experienced affliction and oppression. Isaiah said that people would despise, reject, oppress, afflict, piece, crush, and punish Jesus long before He was born. He would do it for you. It was all part of the plan.
