Our children’s ministries are led by Randy Billings, who says “We are teaching that God’s Word is living and applies to us today. We are teaching children to be examples to those around them.”
As the Scripture teaches, “Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Billings adds, “We are excited to have the privilege of teaching children and we have teacher training classes to better prepare ourselves to teach children.”
Billings wants children and their parents to understand that God has blessed us by providing this special book of life instructions – the Bible (read 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
He asks children to bring their Bible to church, noting “We provide opportunities and training to use the Bible all year! We want children learn to trust God all the time (Proverbs 3:1-6) and we encourage each family to study God’s word together at home. Review the lesson with your child each week by asking about the story your child heard. Ask how we can do what God wants.”
God’s Word is important for teaching us how to live yet so few take the effort or time to study it. How do you learn about God’s greatest gift? How do you work on your relationship with God? God’s Word will give guidance on living out your faith.
The world is always interacting with you. How do you know how to react to those interactions? The world’s desire is to take you away from a relationship with God. No amount of discipline, exercises, training, or workouts can keep you in shape for the spiritual battle that is going on around you without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Study God’s word every day. Pray & praise all the way.
There is true value when we connect with each other and God.
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to hear and experience God’s gifts and presence through your church.
Until His return He sent the Holy Spirit to guide and provide so we would not face the world alone.
When things are going great people tend to trust in their own abilities, qualifications and strength. When things go wrong people tend to withdraw worrying about lack of skills and qualifications.
Children have to make choices in the actions they take. What example should children be following? Children need to learn they are responsible for their choices and that there are consequences for wrong choices. We must ask God to help us do what is right
Make sure you pass this warning on to anyone who plans to bring their children to church!
Please be advised that your child will be hearing stories from the Bible, doing activities, crafts, having snacks, & playing games related to Bible learning. The goal is to teach children how important it is to grow in what we know and let it show. They need to know how to trust and plug into God’s abundant power.1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
July 5 You can respond to the request in one of two ways. Do you choose to honor Him by choosing to do what is right and rejecting what is wrong. Gideon obeyed God. Judges 6:11-7:22; Psalm 119:34. God made it obvious that He was The One in control. People can make the proper choice to obey God. God is not looking for heroic people. He is looking for willing servants to follow the plan the designed and created them for.
July 12 Everyone is responsible for the choices they make. Rahab hid the Spies in Jericho. Joshua chap 2 & 6:15-25; Matthew 1:1, 5-6; Psalm 119:34;-36 Proverbs 3:7. Rahab knew God was with the Israelites and God could rescue her from her way of life. It is evident that she experienced a true life transformation. People can choose to respect God. There are no limitations on what God can do in your life if you allow Him to be Lord.
July 19 Do you recognize it? People need to learn about, recognize, and respond to God’s authority. Mary anointed Jesus’ feet. John 12:1-8; Deuteronomy 6:5; Psalm 119:34-36. Hebrews 13:15-16; 1Peter 2:5 People can choose to show their love of God through their actions. We need to put God First in our daily lives. Do you miss opportunities?
July 26 When you ask a question are you looking for the good advice and truth or someone to validate what you think to be right? You are responsible for the choices you make so make sure you seek the right response. The young ruler’s question. Mark 10:17-22; Luke 18:18-23; Psalm 119:34; Joshua 24:14-15. What is your most valued treasure? People should choose to do what is right even when it is hard. Take a stand and follow God’s plan. Ask God to guide your heart so you hold nothing back in obedience to him.
