February is the month of love and relationships. Nothing can be more comforting, disappointing, exciting, exhausting, loving, satisfying, trying or understanding than the family you are with. We can learn from people in the Bible, they were real people with real problems and struggles. Even when you may not feel like it God instructs you to show love to others every day. Sometime we need to take time to look at the Old to see the intentional plan. You are invited to grow and learn as a member of God’s family. There is nothing better than the love of God and a relationship with Him.

Are you up for the manufactures challenge? The one who designed and made you wants to do good works in and through you. God desires for His family members to love and help one another as well as ask for forgiveness and forgive. The relationship is important as we grow in what we know so we can worship and obey the call. This month we will be learning how God used the family unit to grow, guide, forgive, honor, know, nurture, and provide with others by their side.

Feb 5 How may I help you? What can you do to make a person’s day better? Can you encourage or lighten the load? During a difficult time, a family protected its baby. God’s plan is for all family members to work together so that God is honored by their family. Exodus 1:8-2:10; John 15:12; 1 john 5:3 God wants family members to love and help one another.

Feb 12 It may not change someone with no regret or a repeat offender and holding grudges may feel more natural than forgiving. Forgiveness is not magical. Forgiveness is important. Forgiveness is a gift given by God for our own benefit. Esau forgave Jacob. God loves families even when family members sin. God is always ready to forgive. Genesis 25:27-34; 27:1-45; 31:3; 32:1-23; 33; Matthew 6:14; 1 John 5:3. God wants family members to ask for forgiveness and to forgive.

Feb 19 It can be done anywhere at any time. What you do, say, and think is an important part of the process. Hannah’s family worshiped God. God wants families to worship together to help them grow stronger in their faith. 1 Samuel 1; Psalm 95:6; 1John 5:3. God wants families to worship Him.

Feb 26 We all face temptations. We need to ask ourselves is our failure to follow God’s plan in our life the big problem or is it our weak relationship with God?  Zechariah and Elizabeth obeyed God. God’s plan is for family members to work together so that God is honored by their family. Luke 1:5-25, 39-45, 57-66; 1 John 5:3. God wants families to listen and then respond to the call.
