What are you praying for?

How a person uses their materials, money, resources, time, and wealth will reveal their master.

Businesses will take risk to get noticed. What would happen if you exploited your opportunities and resources to grow God’s Kingdom.

God is available and ready to provide the resources, He is waiting on you to make an investment of the one thing everyone has. Spend your time building the relationship.   

Children learn

May 5 Jesus taught about prayer Matthew 5:1-2;6:5-13; Mark 11:24- Prayer is important Psalm 3:4; 34:17; 55:17; 65:2; Proverbs 15:29. Prayer is a conversation with God. We need God’s power to overcome evil thoughts, attitudes, desires, and actions. Prayer includes confession, praise, thanksgiving, guidance, and prayers for others.

May 12 Jesus gave thanks for food – John 6:1-13; Mark 11:24 Psalm 107:1 – Thank God for what He gives.

May 19 Jesus prayed in the garden – Luke 22:39-46; Mark 11:24; 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18- God wants us to pray daily.

May 26 The Holy Spirit helps us pray – Romans 8:18-30; Mark 11:24, Even when we don’t know what we need to talk to God about He knows and will guide us

Youth learn

May 5 Love your enemies- Luke 6:27-36 – Love others as Christ loves you. Even when it may be difficult, Jesus calls us to be different than what the world wants us to be. Forgive, bless, love, serve, and pray. God works through our obedience to draw people to Him.

May 12 Let the dead bury their dead – Luke 9:57-62 – Following Jesus takes priority over all other commitments. Why are some of God’s commands easy to understand but difficult to follow?

May 19 Hate your family? – Luke 14:25-35 – Loving Jesus is intense, calculate the cost and the risk. A wise person always considers cost. What are the options? What are the resources? Can you lay down your agenda and desires of the world? God gives the strength to carry on.

May 26 Exploit your friends? – Luke 16:1-12 – be wise with the resources and opportunities that are give you. Use wise decision making to serve with your fullest potential. Are you guilty of wasting God’s good gifts? Have you been selfish and careless? Change your habits and focus on the Kingdom. Use everything that God has entrusted to you and glorify Him.
