You do not live in a world free from brokenness & pain but it is possible to have a better life. Faith can be courageous, encouraging, giving, intervening, we can see ways God works through people who are committed to Him. The Bible gives examples of people who faced some of the most difficult challenges imaginable, yet they remained devoted to God. They did the right thing no matter what they faced, and God used them to make a big impact. He can use you the same way when you choose daily to live a godly life in the middle of an ungodly world.
Children learn – God helps me. It does not matter where we are or what we are doing we can show & tell others the love of Jesus.
June 2 The Ascension – Acts 1:4-11; Psalm 135:6; Titus 3:6 – Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would help. Make sure you claim the promise.
June 9 The Holy Spirit empowers witnesses – Acts 2:1-15, 22-24, 32-33, 36-41, Psalm 135:6; Isaiah 11:2. The Holy Spirit empowers and guides us to tell others God’s plan.
June 16 Stephen – Acts 6:8-7:60; Psalm 23:4, 135:6 Sometimes Christians will face difficult & hard times when telling others about Jesus.
June 23 Philip and the Ethiopian – Acts 8:26-40; Psalm 135:6; Isaiah 53:7-8; John 14:6 – God is real and changes lives. The Holy Spirit could be guiding you to stand next to someone and explain God’s gift of salvation.
June 30 Saul’s conversion- Acts 9:1-31, Psalm 135:6; Romans 8:14 – God helps people obey His commands
Youth learn – Living by faith: Examples from women who trusted God?
June 2 – Rahab: Courageous faith – Joshua 2:1-14 – The power of God that leads us to fear Him also leads us to trust Him. Strength & courage are required to do what is right even when it is hard, God will provide the power we need.
June 9 – Deborah: Encouraging faith- Judges 4:1-9;5:1-5 – You have a great potential so use your influence for God’s Kingdom.
June 16 – Hannah: Faith that prays – 1 Samuel 1:1-2,9-11, 17-18,26-28; 2:1-3, – Pray with confidence, God hears.
June 23 – Abigail: Intervening faith – 1 Samuel 25:2-3, 14-17, 23-28, 32-35 – Honor Christ, help resolve conflict.
June 30 – The poor widow: Faith that gives – Luke 12:13-21; 21:1-4 – Be on guard against greed. Giving reflects faith & trust in Christ.
The Holy Spirit is much more than happy thoughts and good feelings. God wants to have a permanent presence in our lives. God wants us to share the Gospel with others. Pray for the Holy Spirit to dwell in you and help you share God’s life saving plan with those around you.
