April 2019 at Living Word –

No matter what Jesus has the solution. We need to quit sanding around the wishing well hoping for what could be. Quit looking for temporary thirst quenchers & go for something that offers full satisfaction. Jesus showed the woman at the well how to find true contentment – John 4:1-30. Jesus showed that the relationship is what is important. Jesus gives what we need – forgiveness, grace, and a plan. It was for everyone. There is a specific purpose for each.

Power is in the prayers of God’s people – 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5; 1 Timothy 2:1-4 God has a gift & plan for everyone.

Searched God’s word. I did not see anything in Bible about eggs for Easter but did see chickens. The rooster called to Peter in his fears to remind Him of God’s Love for him. Then there were those highly trained soldiers who had everything under their control. “Remember how that that imposter said, After 3 days I will rise again…order the tomb be made secure…a guard of soldiers; go and make it as secure as you can. So they went and made it secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.” (Matt27:63-66) “And behold there was a great earthquake; for the angel of The Lord descended from heaven…for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.” (Matt28:2-4) Guards report Matthew 28:11-15 This elite group of men sure were Chickens.

Filling ourselves: Do people find comfort in filling themselves with candy? Jesus promised something else to comfort us if we would allow ourselves to be filled, John 14:26-27 Jesus command Matthew 28:18-20. His goal was to restore people to the Father (Matthew 20:28)
