Don’t be overwhelmed by all the wrong in the world, it is always ok to do the right thing! Our Savior grieves with us when we face injustice and face suffering but remember He has already acted on our behalf. In a world that is independent, indulgent, and self-focused we must focus on God’s plan for us. How do you determine when to take a stand? We can’t fix every injustice in the world but we have no excuse for not doing the right thing.
No one should ever force you to worship or give to God. However true worship includes giving. What do you have to give back to God? Offerings, possessions, talent, teaching students about God,, time, tithes. Are you cheerful about it? 2 Corinthians 9:7
Children learn
May 6 Four friends helped. Mark 2:1-12; Psalm 50:15; John 15:9. Each person is unique and of value to God. There is no need too great or problem too difficult for Jesus love and attention. All people are important to Jesus.
May 13 Jesus calmed a storm. Mark 4:4:35-41; Luke 8:22-25; Psalm 50:15. God wants everyone to trust Jesus as Savior and Lord. We must stay focused on God and depend completely on His strength and power not ours.
May 20 A widow gave. Mark 12:41-44; Luke 21:1-4; Psalm 50:15; 2 Corinthians 9:7. People worship God by giving. God has given you many abilities, blessings, riches, strengths, and talents to share.
May 27 Jesus read God’s Word. Luke 4:16-22; Psalm 50:15; Proverbs 4:13. People should want to learn more about God. Attending church can help me learn more about God’s word and plan for me.
Youth learn
May 6 Stand down. Esther 4:1-3,8-16. Surrendering to God leads to greater things. Esther set aside self-preservation to see that justice was done. Do not let fear keep you from doing the right thing.
May 13 Stand with Humility. Esther 5:1-14 God’s Word calls us to live with kindness and humility. It takes real courage & faith to follow God’s plan for dealing with conflict. Real action should be designed to please God and accomplishes His purpose.
May 20 Stand up and speak. Esther 7:1-10. Every Christian has a job to boldly serve & bear witness to what is Truth and what is right. We are to pass the Word though actions as well as our speech but we must leave the results to God.
May 27 Keep standing. Esther 8:1-8; 9:20-22 Do not become complacent, you must stay aware. Give thanks for victory you have in Christ
