April 2018 at Living Word – They left Him for dead and gone. Little did they know He was there in the beginning, He was still there in the present, and He had just paid the price to make our future forevermore in God’s Kingdom. Furthermore, He sent the HOLY Spirit to guide and provide us.

April 8 Thomas Believed- John 20:19-31, Matthew 28:6; Romans 10:9 God planned for Jesus to be the Savior from the beginning of time & Jesus resurrection was necessary to save people from sin.

April 15 Peter Had breakfast with Jesus- John 21:1-19 Matthew 28:6; 2 John 6 People can obey Jesus as a response to His love. We need to follow the example, teachings, and commandments of Jesus.

April 22 The Ascension- Acts 1:4-11; Matthew 28:6 The Holy Spirit is the Comforter. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would help people.

April 29 The Holy Spirit Empowers Witnesses- Acts 2:1-15,22-24, 32-33,36-42; Matthew 28:6; Psalm 119:34 The Holy Spirit calls people to receive God’s salvation. The Holy Spirit can help you tell others about God.

Youth learn

April 1 God is faithful- Luke 24:1-12 The empty tomb points us to the faithfulness of God and His plan for us.

April 8 God is our Shepherd Psalm 23:1-6. God guides as He walks with us. Learn to trust God’s guidance and care at all times. Make plans now to dwell in the House of the Lord forevermore.

April 15 God is Our Righteousness- Jeremiah 33:3-8, 14-16. God will ultimately bring justice on all things. Accept the gift and allow your debt to be paid and set you free.

April 22 Be ready to stand- Esther2:5-10,15-17. God is always at work are you following the call and plan He has for you?

April 29 Stand with Conviction- Esther 2:21-3:6. Christians have no excuse for not doing the right thing.

Did not see anything in Bible about eggs for Easter but did see chickens. The rooster called to Peter in his fears to remind Him of God’s Love for him. Then there were those highly trained soldiers who had everything under their control. “Remember how that that imposter said, After 3 days I will rise again…order the tomb be made secure…a guard of soldiers; go and make it as secure as you can. So they went and made it secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.” (Matt27:63-66) “And behold there was a great earthquake; for the angel of The Lord descended from heaven…for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.” (Matt28:2-4) Guards report Matthew 28:11-15 This elite group of men sure were Chickens.

Filling ourselves: Do people find comfort in filling themselves with candy? Jesus promised something else to comfort us if we would allow ourselves to be filled, John 14:26-27 Jesus command Matthew 28:18-20. His goal was to restore people to the Father (Matthew 20:28)
