Sept 2022 at Living Word

School is back. Many students are working to settle into a new classroom with new curriculums and a different teacher. Surroundings and friendships may be different but students need to understand God will never change but we pray their relationship with Him will grow.

Did you get a chance for a meet and greet with your child’s teachers? Did anyone tell you could not meet with the teacher? Why do you think people choose to keep children from meeting Jesus? We are Praying for students and teachers everywhere. Praying for God’s protection and guidance. Give them the courage and strength to Engage the Bible, Seek God’s will, Obey God, Serve God, Share Christ’s Love, Exercise faith, & Build proper relationships no matter what the world around them may try to teach or tell them.

The fact is Jesus lowered Himself to be with the least of us. This month we will be teaching our students the amazing truths of God’s consistent kindness and love to undeserving people who seek His will. No one is to low or unworthy, everyone has value and purpose however they must choose to develop and follow God’s plan and take a stand. How do you engage the world? Jesus ultimately showed us God’s plan.

Sept 4 Are you having end of summer get togethers with family and friends? Why would you keep your child from learning and developing a relationship with God? Even before a child is born, people are special to God. Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17; 1 Timothy 2:3-4. Jesus and the children. Jesus spoke with great authority and has the power to do miracles. No matter our age we must recognize our need for God as our Heavenly Father. God knows all the things that make you the person you are. He knows what makes you laugh and what makes you sad. He knows what you are good and what you can be great at.

Sept 11 Which is the greater gift, the forgiveness or the healing? Jessica Longs life could have been very different. When her legs were amputated in her childhood, she and those around her could have given up. Instead, she became the 2nd most decorated US Paralympian because someone choose to adopt her out of a Russian orphanage.  Now she uses her platform to share God’s plan with others. All Christians are called to be on a mission with God. You can help others know Jesus and be the best they can be. Mark 2:1-12; Galatians 6:10; 1 Timothy 2:3-4. Jesus and the paralyzed man. Undeterred the 4 friends got their friend to Jesus.

Sept 18 1 Is someone blocking your view or to loud for you to hear the call? What are you doing to get the message loud and clear? All people need to hear about Jesus and His Love. Can they see it in you? Luke 19:1-10; Timothy 2:3-4. Jesus and Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus realized he had the wrong attitude and had done wrong things but he repented and changed his way of living. Pray asking for God’s guidance to helping us live as Jesus would. Romans 15:1-7

Sept 25   You are not too different to take part. How thirsty are you? You are invited to join the family. People should care about others. God wants us to connect with others and show them His love. John 4:1-42; Acts 10:34-35; 1 Timothy 2:3-4. Jesus and the Samaritan woman. She left the jug with the thing she came for to tell others about the thing she received. She got Living Water and a chance to become a family member. Jesus shared His care for people with her and all those around.
