March 2022 at Living Word

The March is on! How have you prepared for the trip? Do you have the proper gear? How do you know the direction to march? What are the limits and boundaries of the March? Where will you find the rest & resources you need?

I can choose – We all make choices every day, and March training will be about how we can honor God with our choices while living in a crooked and twisted generation.

What can you do without grumbling or disputing Philippians 2:13-15 I am so thankful we do not have to make choices on our own.

We need God’s guidance to give wisdom and help us make the correct choices, a Savior to save us from our sins, and the Holy Spirit to work in our lives.

3-6-2022 Isaac kept peace Genesis 26:1-6,12-33; Deuteronomy 6:18; Romans 12:18- kids can choose to live at peace with others. Isaac chose to make peace with his neighbors. Instead of fighting over water Isaac was willing to dig new wells until everyone had one. God blessed Isaac because he was a peacemaker. We need to learn how to recognize God’s authority. We must learn to love others as God loves them. Honor God by asking Him to forgive your sin and choosing to do what is right and reject what is wrong.  Seek God’s will not yours.

3-13 You make choices every day. Some choices are easy, some are difficult, some have great consequences. Choosing to obey God isn’t always easy, but it is the right choice. King Saul’s Choice – 1 Samuel 10:17-25; 13:1-14; Psalm 86:9-10; Deuteronomy 6:18 – kids can choose to respect God and His authority. God chose Saul as the king for His people, but Saul chose to disobey God and not respect Him. How do you recognize and respond to God’s authority?

3-20- What are you doing today? God can empower and use you every day in many ways. Esther chooses to help her people. Esther 2:2-18; 3:8-13; 4:5-17; 5:1-14; 7:1-10; Micah 6:8; Deuteronomy 6:18 – kids can choose to stand up for what is right. Esther chose to reveal herself as a Jew and stand up for her people, even though she put herself in danger. God saved the Jews through Esther’s courage. Choose to trust God’s plan and do what is right and reject what is wrong.

3-27 Be alert to pressure – external when you listen to those around you and internal from your fears and lack of trust, Will that honor God? Have you ever made a risky choice in order to follow God’s Word? Daniel chose to obey Daniel 1:1-20; Deuteronomy 6:18 kids can choose to follow God even when it is difficult. Daniel spoke up in his captivity to make sure he followed God’s laws. Daniel was blessed by God for his obedience.

Choose to wait on God and live in a confident expectation and anticipation of God’s actions in your life. Refuse to run ahead of Him or without His plan, trying to solve your problems by yourself
