February 7 Jesus read God’s word. Luke 4:14-22, Psalm 18:1, 2 Corinthians 13:7 I can use the Bible to learn what God wants me to do.
February 14 God wants people to love others. Mark 2:1-12, 2 Peter 3:18, Matthew 14:14. People should love God & let His love show in them.
February 21 Jesus calmed the storm Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25, 2 Peter 3:18 People can know God and He will help them. Jesus did things people can not do.
February 28 Jesus fed the people. John 6:1-15 Jesus loved people and met their needs
Children Learn
February 7 Jesus was tempted. Matthew 4:1-11, 1 Peter 1:15, Proverbs 20:11. How can we rebuke Satan’s attack? Jesus teaches how.
February 14 Jesus called the disciples. Matthew 4:18-22, 9:9-13 Mark 1:16-20, 2:13-14, 3:13-19, 1 John 5:5, John 15:14. People should want to serve God every day. I can develop & use my abilities & talents to please & honor God.
February 21 Jesus calmed the storm- Mark 4:35-41 Luke 8:22-25 Psalm 22:4. I am learning to respond in positive ways to what happens to me. I can find joy in all my circumstances because God has a plan for me.
February 28 Jesus fed the 5000 John 6:1-15, 1 John 5:5, Galatians 6:10 Jesus performed miracles because He is God’s Son. Miracles still take place. Allow God to be in control.
Youth Learn
February 7 Distinct in my approach to conflict – Matthew 5:23-24. Proverbs 15:1-2 Calm down take control of your anger. Learn to say I am sorry without the but. Seek reconciliation. Pursue peace & resolve differences. Be the first to resolve conflict.
February 14 Distinct in my relationships Matthew 5:27-30 Rev 19:7-8, 21:2, 22:17. Gal 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 10:12-13. Let Christ’s light shine & convict us of the darkness we hold on to. What is your plan of action to fight against temptation in your life? Hold on to purity at all cost.
February 21 Distinct in my reactions- Choose grace & integrity when others are demanding. Matthew 5:33-42 Ephesians 5:16 What was the last thing you were totally prepared for. Be careful what you commit to. Keep your word. Sometimes less is more. Have you missed any opportunities this week?
February 28 Distinct in my love – Matthew 5:43-48 Love may not always come easy but Jesus gave the example to follow. What do you love to do? Do you know the love of Christ?
Do you have what it takes? Honesty, humility, & security? A honest person can hear & tell the truth. They can receive & give apologies. Truth can heal – do not use it to bring others down. Everyone has things they need to acknowledge & apologize for. Security is knowing you are a child of God & God has a plan for you.
