Immanuel = God with us. Where is He in your life? God promised to send a Savior. The prophets looked forward to the time when God would keep that promise. How do you plan to help your family recognize & celebrate the deeper meaning of Christmas?
People who are wise seek what matters hundreds of years from now. Clothes, electronics, games, gadgets, jewelry, toys, and other material things give pleasure for a short period of time. Only one gift will matter hundreds of years from now. That is the gift God gave us through His Son Jesus.
Children learn
Dec 4 Prophets told about Jesus – God promised to send the Savior, Jesus. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 11:1-5; Micah 5:2, Hundreds of years later everything the prophets said about Jesus came true. Then & now God has a plan for you.
Dec 11 Name Him Jesus – Jesus is God’s plan for people salvation. Luke 1:26-56; Matthew 1:18-24. Jesus can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Dec 18 Jesus was born – God sent Jesus to the earth to be the Savior. Luke 2:1-20, Mary remembered everything and thought about it often. We should always be thinking about God and what He has done for us.
Dec 25 Wise men visited Jesus- People should worship Jesus. Matthew 2:1-12. Wise men are dedicated to discovering the truth at all cost. God sends a signal like He did the star so all men can find the Savior.
Youth learn about the rhythm of God’s word
Dec 4 The blameless way- Psalms 119:1-8 – Following God’s Word brings true joy, God created us & knows what will bring contentment & joy.
Dec 11 A clean heart – Psalms 119:9-16 – God’s Word teaches us everything we need to know to live fully. We all need instructions for life.
Dec 18 The worthwhile focus. Psalms 119:17-24 – God’s Word will allow me to stand in a world full of opposition.
Dec 25 The promise life – Psalms 119:41; Luke 1:30-35. Jesus is the ultimate Word from God that He loves us & provides salvation.
