Our children’s ministries are led by Randy Billings, who says “We are teaching that God’s Word is living and applies to us today. We are teaching children to be examples to those around them.”
As the Scripture teaches, “Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Billings adds, “We are excited to have the privilege of teaching children and we have teacher training classes to better prepare ourselves to teach children.”
Billings wants children and their parents to understand that God has blessed us by providing this special book of life instructions – the Bible (read 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
He asks children to bring their Bible to church, noting “We provide opportunities and training to use the Bible all year! We want children learn to trust God all the time (Proverbs 3:1-6) and we encourage each family to study God’s word together at home. Review the lesson with your child each week by asking about the story your child heard. Ask how we can do what God wants.”
God’s Word is important for teaching us how to live yet so few take the effort or time to study it. How do you learn about God’s greatest gift? How do you work on your relationship with God? God’s Word will give guidance on living out your faith.
The world is always interacting with you. How do you know how to react to those interactions? The world’s desire is to take you away from a relationship with God. No amount of discipline, exercises, training, or workouts can keep you in shape for the spiritual battle that is going on around you without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Study God’s word every day. Pray & praise all the way.
There is true value when we connect with each other and God.
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to hear and experience God’s gifts and presence through your church.
Until His return He sent the Holy Spirit to guide and provide so we would not face the world alone.
March 2026 at Living Word Ministries – Jesus taught us how to live.
We live in a world where social media gives us all kinds of daily distractions, false guidance/information and temptations. It is so important that we teach both young and old how to grow and learn about the one true God. There was a time before all this electronic media when God’s Son walked the earth as a man and gave us the truth. He gave advice, examples, plans, promises, and an offer for salvation. Matthew6:19-34; John 3:16-17. This month we will be teaching our students how we can apply Jesus’ teachings and God’s plan to our daily lives.
March 1 –Have you ever heard the amazing prayer of a child who genuinely believes God is capable of much more than any of us can imagine? Jesus understands what it is like to be human. Jesus was only 12 years old when He was able to study the Torah with the rabbis. Jesus talked with the teachers. Jesus was not intimidated to discuss the laws of God. Jesus grew, earned and taught about God. Jesus shared His supernatural wisdom and truth. Luke 2:41-52; Matthew 6:33
March 8 – Do not ignore the condition of your heart and mind! People tried to outsmart Him but He continued show supernatural wisdom and showed others He knew what was in the heart and thoughts. Jesus taught People to Forgive and Love others as God does them. Jesus taught how to love and obey God. Matthew 5:1-2,43-48; 6;33; Mark 12:28-34
March 15 – He made the most out of every opportunity to share the truth. His talking was astonishing because He truly knew what He was talking about. He taught by using object lessons and the scripture. Jesus taught through His life and example what God is like. Jesus taught not to worry. We fail to see what is happening behind the scenes but God knows Matthew 6:25-34; In addition to teaching Jesus was in the miracle business. Jesus Healed a woman Luke 13:10-17; 1 Peter 5:6-11
March 22 – What are you seeking? I hope it is not the best seat or place of earthly honors. It is not the honors, material things, money, the seat or social status you have that really matters. It is the amount of faith. Sometimes we need to give knowing God is in control. Jesus taught about giving and worshiping. Mark 12:41-44; Matthew 6:33; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
March 29 – He told so many people to keep quiet about the things He did for them. (Matthew 9:27-31; Mark 1:40-45; 5:35-43. Many told anyway because of the great miracle that took place. Soon large crowds came to get their own healings even when He was in desolate places people were coming to Him. Mark 1:45. In John 6 ;14-21. He had to escape the crowd because the were trying to force Him to become king. Then the time come the ransom had to take place. Mark 10:45. The prophecy in Zechariah 9:9-11 was coming true. Psalms 118:17-26. He was following God’s plan there was no turning back, The Triumphal Entry. Jesus the Messiah sent to be our Savior. Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-38; Matthew6:33
Jesus not only gave the disciples and us instructions on how to live and love, He gave us a real world example on how to follow, love, and obey. Even more than that He gave us Everlasting Life when we choose to accept the gift.
