May 2025 at Living Word – What does true worship mean to you? True worship comes from a relationship. There are many ways to express that worship. Worship is a way to give back to God. The Bible is full of examples on how to worship God as a group of believers gathered together as well as an individual in your private life. Grow in what you know and allow God to glow as you show the world His purpose in you.

How do you teach your children to live in a way that honors God? This month our goal is to use stories from both the Old and New Testament to teach children what it means to worship the One True God. We want them to learn how to explore, grow, and learn from the Bible and allow them to show others God’s love and plan. Come let us worship God.  Church is much more than a building. It is a group of people who gather to worship and learn to live for God.

May 4 Have you shut Him out? Are there areas of your life where you turned your back on God? It is not to late to turn back and worship. Hezekiah realized the nation needed a complete restart in its relationship with God. Hezekiah gathered the people to worship God corporately through song and prayer. He did what is right in God’s sight. People can sing and play music to worship God. 1 Chronicles 16:34; 2 Chronicles 29; Psalm 95:6; 100; Jeremiah 20:13 Paise God for making and taking care of you. Repent and turn over all areas of your life to Him. Experience his compassion and love as you praise Him.;

May 11 When you think of a team, what comes to mind? Do you know of a team member who is struggling? People can learn and work together. A team does not just relate to sports or work. People can come to church, give, learn, listen, read the Bible, serve, and/or sing to worship God and celebrate Jesus. Exodus 24:3; 35:4-36:37; 39:32-43; Psalm 95:6; Isaiah 6-7; Colossians3:16 Do you actively take part in your church team? Do you cheer others on to use their God given gifts for God’s Kingdom? Working together, building each other up your team will accomplish great things for God’s glory.

May 18 Do you ever take time to watch people as they rush through life? You will witness all kinds of dynamics, emotions and events. Jesus often observed and served people around Him. In one event He watched a woman give what most people thought of as nothing but to her it was everything. She had put her trust in God. She had placed herself entirely in God’s hand, she was following the plan. Do you know how to freely give? When should you? Giving freely is a way to honor God. People can give money, talents, and time at church to worship and help others learn about God and Jesus. Malachi 3:10; Psalm 95:6; Matthew 6:24-34; Mark 12:41-44; Luke 21:1-4; Corinthians 9:7 What is your attitude toward giving? God loves a cheerful giver. Ask God to give you a cheerful heart as you respond to Him.

May 25 Do you ever wonder if they really are praying for you? They said they would. We should not make such flippant comment. We to commit to really pray. We hope you don’t have to undergo intense persecution before you take time to earnestly pray. We need to talk to God about everything. We need to pray for one another. People worship by praying, giving, singing, and hearing the Word. Come let us worship God. Psalm 95:6; Acts 12:1-19; James 5:16 When they prayed chains fell off, doors opened and Peter was able to walk past everything holding him captive. True prayer is a powerful tool God has given us. Take time to examine your attitude toward prayer. Do you really believe prayer can make a difference? Ask God to guide you to pray boldly with faith knowing that God is in control.  Nothing is too difficult for the God who designed you with a true purpose. Pray seeking is plan and will in your life.

People all over the world are offered everything they need to worship God and share God’s plan and love just like the examples we find in the Bible. Have you opened the gifts God has given to you? Are you talking with Him on how to properly use them?
