Family is complicated. Even on the very best days, life can be challenging. Communication issues and misunderstandings can result in hurt feelings. Everyone has a need for a family. It could be a biologically, church, community, and/or work family. Whatever the family is there should be concern, support and understanding for each member. Keep in mind that families are all made up of sinful people who need God in their life and God designed us with a plan for us to be a part of His Family. This month we will look at families in the Bible and their relationships with each other and God.

July 6 – God wants families to show love, respect, and kindness to one another. Family members can work together to solve problems and get along. Genesis 13; Romans 12:10,18. Despite the issues Abram Choose to get along. The story of Abram and Lot shows how families can work out differences and disagreements using forgiveness and love. and Genesis 37:41:53-42:38. July 13 God loves families through the hurts and issues and wants them to forgive each other. Families can work together and forgive one another even when difficult events have taken place within the family. Genesis 37;41:53-56; 42-43; 45; 46:28-34;50:15-21; Romans 12:10; Philippians 2:4; Colossians 3:13. Joseph forgave his brothers.

July 20God has a plan for each family. God wants families to show love, respect, and kindness to one another. Your family should make a commitment to pray and worship the one true God. 1 Samuel 1; 2:19; Psalm 95:6; Proverbs22:6; Romans 12:10; Philippians 2:4. Hannah’s family worshiped God.

July 27 Families can love and help people in the community. We can work together to help others and honor God. 2 Kings 4:8-17. A couple helped Elisha. Do good and show love to one another. Romans 12:10; Galatians 6:10; 1 John 4:7

Pray that our students will learn how they can forgive, guide, help and protect each other as they grow and honor God.
