Our Humble Beginning . . . .

” . . . . I started to feel the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart about the need for a women’s ministry in the church. I remembered that many years earlier, it was prophesied that I would lead a Women’s Ministry one day. I began to pray diligently to the Lord to be sure it was His leading and not my own. That gentle voice kept on speaking about the gift placed within me and that it was time to be used again. I prayed for confirmation to my thoughts.
After a short time, the Pastor spoke to me that he felt that God wanted me to become involved in church. I soon began to welcome folks into the church at service time. I was blessed and honored to be a part of Living Word Ministry. However, before long, that still small voice began to speak again of the need for a Women’s Ministry in the church.
I reluctantly spoke to the Pastor after service one day about my feelings about the women of the church and the need for a ministry for them to share the Word together, learn who we, as women are to the Lord and have a time to encourage each other. To my utter surprise, he said that God had already spoken to his wife and to him about the same thing and they knew my desire was from God. The Pastor also said that they God showed them that it would be me who would be used in ministering to the ladies.
I was humbled and overwhelmed to know that God had the Ladies of Faith Ministry all planned out, as to where it would be, under which Pastor’s guidance and that He would use me, his humble servant, to be used in His service.”
